Re-chipping a Sigma lens

Hi: I have a little bit of a problem here, I just got a Sigma 70-300 with a CAnon mount but when I mount it in my camera (EOS 300D) it gave me ERR 99, I did a search and It seem that the chip in the lens need to be change in order to work with my camera. Does anyone here know where can I get that done in Dublin?What about…

You will have to contact sigma directly or thru an agent. If its an old lens they might have run out of chips for that particular lens and they dont make new chips.

Never knew you could get them on ebay but they are prob reverse engineered generic chips.
