Can't get chorus at new house

I have just got off the phone from a chorus rep who has told me I cannot get Chorus at my new build. I told him I only wanted the tv and he started spouting something about fibre optic cables and that there wasn't any in the area yet. I thought that I should still be able to get the MMDS??? My parents have Chorus MMDS and they are only 100 metres down the road, have Chorus stopped giving out MMDS???

If Chorus say there is no cable running to your house you can be sure they'll hit you with a BIG bill to do it for you.
Why not go for SKY. It'll work out about the same as Chorus (currently giving away Sky+ boxes). The service is guaranteed (Chorus isn't) and there is close to 1000 channels for you. Do check it out. I've just had it installed in my new apartment. Installation done in about 30 mins. Enjoying it. :cool:

But the thing is there is no cable in my area at all so they can't even do that. I just don't understand why they can't give me a connection with the MMDS aerial. AS for Sky we don't have a phone line so I don't know if thats an option.

You CAN get sky without a phone line, there is a small fee of under 50 to activate without a phone line. Give em a call
