    Hi,

Heres a small app that monitors broadband usage by periodically checking the ISPs usage page. At the moment only Eircom and Lastmile broadband are supported. It displays the usage stats in a menulet at the top of the screen.

I hope to add more ISPs in future. Please PM me if there's one you'd like added. Hope you find it useful, if there's a bit of interest I'll work to improve it and perhaps create a windows version. Don't forget to add the app to sys pref -> accounts -> login items so it starts on bootup.

    Any feedback appreciated....

    Cheers,
    Jon

    Hi,

Are you with Eircom? If so, can you put you phone number in this format... "055-12345". And use your account number which you can see at the top of a recent phone bill...

If its closed down the config gui it should have verified the details. Are you def online? I've only tested this on a friends 10Gb Eircom account, limited testing sorry:( Can you PM me your phone/account no. and I'll have a look here.

    Cheers

Can you get this to work with NTL/UPC? They don't have an online download monitor.

Hi, the app works by periodically fetching the info from the providers page. So unfortunately it can't work for UPC, since they've no web checker.

Could this work with mobile broadband? A friend uses O2 and it may be usefull

    Thanks

    Hi Sedohre,

Once there's a web checker available for O2 mobile broadband (I think there is one) its no problem to add. However I'll need a username/password to develop/test it.

    Jonathan

    Hi,

I'm adding 3broadband support to this application soon.
I've developed it using one friends phonenumber/password.
To make sure it works ok for others would anyone like to volounteer as a tester?
If yes let me know and I can send you a Beta version.
