Is that the Helios again, yeah?

There's some lovely subtle cold tones with the home development.

That sounds like a perfect call for exposure bracketting to get hdr, but by god you did a great job there. I'm guessing you underexposed and then brightened the dark areas in pp?

I actually took one photo in raw mode and changed the exposure (-2, 0, +2) in the software that came with my camera before HDR-ing it.
Must be adventurous one day and actually try out exposure bracketting.

sure is. I popped it on in a moment of weakness when I put a new roll of ektar in the camera.
There's some lovely subtle cold tones with the home development.

I actually think my colour balancing is a bit wack. OTOH I screwed up the development on this roll, extra 30 seconds or so due to a lapse of attention. Thats an extra 20% or a couple of stops push, so the contrast has gone nuts.

I must start a new thread with this one actually and another shot I posted up a while back that Fenster reckoned had a crazy colour cast to it. I think I need to re-calibrate my monitor ... or maybe my brain ...

Contrasts look great Daire. Very beautiful.
No harm to have the ol' nut checked now and again though.
