And this spot in France reminded me of some of the scenes from the Lord of the Rings films- so I photo shopped Gollum into a shot.
I'm sure it's illegal to use a Gollum image so don't tell anyone!

Just back from the hols today. Got this in a pub while I was away...mother was coming back to feed the chicks every two minutes or so. Took me about 10 tries, but I eventually got her in flight - not easy to do with a P&S

thanks Baz - I thought it would be a good shot to get, but it was tricky enough. I had to use flash to freeze the flight of the mother (or father) in flight. I didn't want to up the ISO as on a P&S (albeit a G9) the higher ISOs really turn the picture to mush...

as it turned out, the hardest part of getting the shot was sitting away from my pints of Magners. It was a very hot day

I took my bike for a spin to Bohernabreena and brought my sisters camera with me. I've never really went on a day out taking picture but it turned out to be fun. This is probably the best i picture. I am newbie to photography with a healthy absence of skill
