Just saw the trailer for this one. It looks stupid and silly. I really wish people would stop going to see movies like this and spend money on more intelligent, thought provoking movies.

    Looks great :D

Loved the original. It was definitely the smartest of the movies and probably had the strongest cast too.
You have to take them for what they are - fun movies that are by design over the top. That's the point. They cheat death so death comes back for them and is pissed hence the over the top killings.
    Looking forward to this.

This from the man who thought Year One was a fantastic film. There's more wit, originality and ideas in the Final Destination films than there is in Year One.

    I lol'ed.:pac:

As much as I hate to admit it,I enjoyed all 3 of these movies.I certainly wouldnt pay to see them but Im sure I will check it out when the time comes.
Pure rubbish but some wildly inventive death scenes including possibly the best death scene in a mainstream movie for a helluva long time.

I was about to link to the youtube clip of the car crash when I read that. Fantastic moment and one of man more inventive and entertaining deaths.

    LOVE this series.

I know it's technically bad but it's very much a cult thing. It's like how I love Cabin Fever. I know it's awful, I know the humour's blatant, I know there's very little redeeming about it, but goddamnit, it's entertaining.

Will definitely watch this and am so looking forward to it.

These films always produce one hell of a scene, be it the sudden bus in FD1, the motorway pile-up in FD2 or the rollercoaster in FD3. Yes its over the top, mindless fun, but its still gonna be a great popcorn flick. Just turn off your brain before you go watch it.

This is also gonna be in 3-D apparently - although no Morgan/Wong association this time...

Looks good, I enjoyed the other 3.

I hate watching films in 3D. To be honest, it doesn't add much entertainment to a film and your eyes get tired watching 3D after about 1 and a half hours (well mine do anyway )

The first 1 was great.. the 2nd was a very worthy follow up.

Didn't think much of the 3rd though.

Final Destination is a brilliant franchise. There's just nonstop deaths and some of them are really inventive.

I enjoy this franchise for what it is; a series of imaginative death set pieces.:pac: The pile-up at the start of FD2 had to be one of the most epic things I have ever seen on cinema.

Have to say the log that goes through your man's windscreen was pretty cool :D

They get a lot of cresit for innovative death scenes but they also rip stuff off from other movies. I think it was FD3 where someone got stuck in a tanning booth, stolen from one of those 'what you did last summer' movies.

But at least Year One has Jack Black and Michael Cera in it, you know, big movie stars. Who does The Final Destination series have in them? No one, no name stars, I rest my case.

    That's your defence... seriously!

Devon Sawa, Ali Larter, Kerr Smith, Tony Todd, Seann William Scott..

.. not "movie stars" perse.. but hardly "no name stars".

Oh sweet Jesus,. you honestly base how good a film is on the cast. Jack Black is not a great actor, nor is Michael Cera. Both of them are able to play one character and have been recycling the same old tired stick film, after film.

While Final Destination lacks what you could call a opener, (An actor who is famous enough to ensure box office) it does feature a number of up an comings.

Sean William Scott, Brendan Fehr, Devon Sawa, Kerr Smith, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, A.J. Cook, Ali Larter as well as Daniel Roebuck, Kristen Cloke, Tony Todd and Mykelti Williamson. While granted none of the name mentioned are able to open a film big each and every one has proven their ability numerous times generally playing a whole host of characters.

Also is Michael Cera a big movie star, I do believe that his first big solo gig Nick and Nora was a bit of a disappointment and looking at Black's recent films it would seem that any film he has made recently he has been one of the lesser faces so to speak. Hell his last two hander Be Kind Rewind saw him being acted off the screen by the far more talented Mos Def.

Michael Caine is a brilliant actor. Unfortunately Jaws the Revenge is still a travesty.

Also, accidents happen all the time, people really are killed in plane crashes, car crashes, rollar coaster accidents and other random accidents and I think for a movie to make a plot out of it is very disrespectful.

I remember a great interview with Caine from years ago in which he said that he’s never seen 1987’s 'Jaws: The Revenge' – "However, I have seen the house that it built, and it’s terrific."

    Class.:D

I'm really trying to figure out if you are simply new to this or a troll posting simply to try and get a rise out of others.

Technically speaking though you could accuse life of being disrespectful to cinema. Look at the Air France crash, the people who missed the plane were killed in a freak accident a few weeks later. Coincidence I think not.

Whats that got to do with anything? some movies have huge movie stars and are awful, some of the best movies ever made have hardly or no name stars in them

Im pretty sure you are just acting the maggot now.

First year one,now this frankly ridiculous statement.

People get tooth cavaties that hurt all the time.Is Willy Wonka disrespectful?

I saw it today (had intended on seeing Funny People), and I thought it was garbage. I wasn't expecting much from it, and I went to see it because the death scenes usually entertain me. However even the death scenes were underwhelming in this film. Was it just me or did it seem like this film was working on a scaled down budget in comparison to the previous films? Compare the opening scene of Final Destination 2 with the opening scene in this one and you'll understand what I mean. It just seemed cheap.
