Parental Lock on all the time

Hi, I have done a quick check through the posts and have not seen any thread on this issue so decided to post this. I recently upgraded to the movie channels and automatically a 4 digit code was asked for every time myself and my gf turned on the channels. also the subtitles were automatically on which is very annoying. I went into the settings and turned off the parental lock setting and also the subtitles but this did nothing to help my parental lock issue.

I rang up yesterday saying that the BBC's channels are not coming through (another complaint) and they rebooted my box remotely and now the channels are all good, and i was asked to hold on for the technical department to switch off the 4 digit code being asked after I mentioned it. After 12 minutes of being on hold I had to go back to work and decided to try a few more things at home before I rang up for technical support.

However the 4 digit code is still been asked for and this happens every time we browsse around the channels. I rang them up again and this time I was told that the parental lock was by default and Sky insisted on this and there is no way to 'turn off' this function, completly contradicting what the Sales girl had said. now i know sales are different than technical support but at end of day i would imagine that parental lock is an option, not a default and does anyone have any ideas how to turn the lock off? I would hate to have to puting the code in EVERY time. :D

As part of Sky's licence, they are required by Ofcom to have mandatory PIN control on all Sky Movie channels between the hours of 05.30 and 20.00. There's no way to switch this off, you just have to live with it.

If it's occuring outside those hours or those channels, then maybe there's something else wrong as well.

Ah ok, well thats grand then (and makes more sense), once its turned off by 8 then we can live with it. Thanks for clarification. :D
