    hi all! is it possible to buy games in america for the ds lite and play them on a european system???

    Yep, not a problem with DS games on a Lite. DSi is different kettle of fish.

    American cartridges work fine on my DSi as well as my Lite. I thought it was just the DSiWare that was region-specific?

    American DS games work on the DS but Wii games don't. DS games are cheaper in the US and some are released earlier than here!

    I think everything currently released was fine, but thought that future releases would have region lock. You may well be right though, it could be DSiWare only.:confused:

    Or u could just save yourself a lot of money if you bought the memory card and download the games on to it

    Hmm, you're right, piracy is the solution. Everyone should do it. It's not as if it costs anything to make the games.

    DSi exclusive software will be region locked, DS games are not.
