    Alright folks,

Title says it all pretty much.Looking to invest in a good keyboard for use in rock/covers pub band.

Budget around €500-800max.Need the best sound I can get for my buck.Ideally it would have the usual sounds - piano, strings etc. and also have some built in synth sounds but I don't know if thats possible for my budget.

I would also consider a keyboard that leans more towards synth side of things as will have digital piano if needs be.

As you can probably guess I'm struggling here so any info or recommendations greatly appreciated!

Also just wondering what ye guys feel is the best way to set up to get best sound etc,.I usually run into my amp(using keyboard amp as monitor) and line out straight to desk.Have used a DI box recently to,whats the benefit of the DI box?

    Cheers man,

Funnily enough I have been looking at a microkorg I think its the XL version.I dont mind it not having piano/string sounds as I will have a digital piano and a run of the mill yamaha keyboard if needs be.I suppose ideally I was looking for something that can incorporate all this in one,for handyness sake of gigging.

I look into the MIDI&Laptop / Sampler, though when you have this equipment on stage its just another thing that can go wrong!!!
