Things to do in Doolin!!

Hi, the family is taking a trip to Doolin soon, Mammy, Daddy and 5 and 8 year old girls. What good activities are there for families about? We're gonna take the Aran trip anyway but dont know how interested the kids will be in the Cliffs and The Burren!!

So any tips/ideas anyone?

Hi,

there's a Moher Farm nearby somewhere, my nieces and nephews love that place, then of course there's all the beaches around the place, there's a lot to be said for a bucket and space along with paddling. Rent a couple of bikes as well, there's some love bike rides on the Aran Islands and because there's no cars you don't have to worry.

Hi Clareman, thanks for the reply, the farm sounds good for the kids and a long bike ride should wear them out for the day!!

Now just have to find a way to sneak out for a pint in the evening!!

You shouldn't have a problem finding babysitters up there either, if you are stayig in a B&B ask before you go, if your not, ring 1 of the local B&Bs, you never know you might get lucky, there's some great pubs up there

Doolin cave is amazing. Recommend anybody in Clare should see it.

Also for kids there is a playground with one of those cable chair things that kids sit on and the chair slides along for about 30 metres.
That playground is beside the soccer pitch.

If you are going to the Ailwee caves, there is a Birds of Prey center on the way up ... you can see soome big birds up close and they do a flying display too ... http://www.birdofpreycentre.com/the_centre.html
