Inline Signal Amplifier Recommendations?

    Hi,

    Just had NTL install broadband.

However, the TV and BB don't work at the same time now.... there is a lengthy cable run from the entry point to the house. I'm considering a signal amplifier device like this:

    http://www.sadoun.com/Sat/Order/Switches/inline_amplifier.htm

Question: Any advice about such a product / alternative?

    Cheers

    It's their problem, not yours.

Ring them as impairing your upstream (return path) with wrong product will reduce your speed.

and possibly the speeds of others if many packets have to be resent.

That particular product won't do anything for Cable TV/Broadband, except maybe stop it working as that is for very long satellite cable runs.
    Note: 950-2150 MHz

Your Cable is 88MHz to 860MHz downstream to you for Radio, TV and BB down and about 10MHz to 50MHz approx, outward from you for BB return path.

    Ring UPC.

By the way, Welcome to Boards. Stay and look around :)
