want to make a Star in a jar? as in a flourescent or glowing jar or object in a jar?

Hi, thanks for reading.
just wondering does anyone have any ideas for making a star in a jar?
or something along those lines.
my girlfriends birthday is coming up and it was one of the first things that she said to me when we started going out! that she wanted a star in a jar( i know she was messin but it would be a nice thought i think)
so does anybody have any suggestions??

they definitly show how to make lava lamps...
