Thanks! I've since got a halifax card which is brilliant, but maybe I'll need the wirecard at some stage so I think I'll pop a tenner in

Same here.... its handy to have a back up just in case so I lodged a tenner last week. I'm still using the old SWIFT/BIC code with BOI 365online banking....and its still working!!!

I needed to get something for €800 online, but 3vs limit is only 350. Is this very good then? I just put money in bank and transfer over?

Complete random question, but has anyone been able to get wirecard working with the Playstation store? Been trying, but keeps rejecting my details.

Im going to presume its rejecting my details due to the fact that Im living in ireland and they detect wirecard as a german credit card and they think something fishy is going on here :s

Jars...if memory serves there a limits to how much you can tranfer per week. I belive it's €300, you should check or transfer the €800 over in batches.

I signed up for a Wirecard account and just registered my bank account with them, so no problems so far :)
So now I want to transfer some money to my Wirecard account using Aib online banking. Would entering the following details on the aib international paylink euro form be correct?

    Receiver Name: WIRECARD BANK AG
Receiver Address: BRETONISCHER RING 4, 85630 GRASBRUNN, GERMANY
    Receiver IBAN: DE925..etc...
    Receiving Bank SWIFT/BIC Address: WIREDEMM
Sender's Message for Receiver: What do I enter here?
Message for your statement: Do I enter my Wirecard account number and telephone number here?

The most important things are the swift and the iban. Don't think it matters what goes in the last two fields.

Is the address correct because I can't find it on their website and have seen a few different ones like:

    Wirecard Bank AG
    Postfach 31 05 44
    04163 Leipzig
    Germany

    and

    Wirecard AG
    4 Bretonischer Ring
    Germany

    The one I used was:

    Wirecard
    Bretonischer Ring 4
    85630 Grasbunn
    Munchen
    Germany

and everything worked fine. But again I don't think it's the most important thing to fill in there.

Thanks Paul Savory Ax, I'll give it a go. :)

Also be careful of the SWIFT code. They changed the one they used initially and last I looked (which was a while ago) some banks were still using the old one. If the new one doesn't work try the old one.

According to their website WIREDEMM is the current swift code, what would happen if I did enter the wrong swift code?

On Bank of Ireland's online banking it wouldn't let me add Wirecard as a Payee with the new SWIFT but that was a while ago.

Enter the new SWIFT code and if your online banking is ok with it there should be no problem.

I'd say the worse that could happen with the wrong code would be that the money is returned to your account.

There are 2 lines in the "Sender's Message for Receiver" field and I enter my wirecard account number in the first one and my telephone number in the second one.

Don't worry about "Message for your statement" field. I just leave it blank and it shows as "Inet Wirecard" on my statement.

As for the address, I just fill in the IBAN and SWIFT codes and on the next page the address is filled in automatically.

    Hope that helps. ;)

Thanks for that info pcolan, how long does it take for a transfer to happen?

The money appears on my wirecard account the next evening (after 9p.m.) after the "value date" shown on AIB account. So, if you transfer before 4p.m. today, it should be there after 9p.m. on Monday.

    Cheers ;)

When I click the "My Profile" link, "Product change to Wirecard plus" announcement comes up on the top. It says it is free to switch but doesn't give much info so could anyone using plus please tell what the differences are...

Isn't Wirecard Plus where you send them the certified documents (passport photocopy etc) and they increase the limits on how much you can lodge etc?

I guess that's what it is... I am ok at the moment with the normal service, just wanted to find out if there is any advantage switching to plus. This is what it says when I click the more information link:

+ Leeway: There are no annual limits with Wirecard plus. In addition, your weekly deposit limits will be increased.

+ Options: With Wirecard plus, you can receive wire transfers from any accounts and people -- without limits, from around the world.

+ Wirecard: The virtual MasterCard, security due to the prepaid principle and the protection of sensitive data -- of course all of this remains the same.

Lol, bit of a late response but, afaik, neither the Wirecard or EntroPay virtual credit card services work on the Playstation store anymore. Some people were lucky enough to 'get in' before they changed the rules but no new user can start buying stuff from the store, unfortunately.

Okay I've been trying for an hour now. Anyone know how to deposit money into the Wirecard with Bank of Ireland 365 online?

Go to "Payments" and then "International Money Transfer"......?

anybody have any problems receiving a purchase refund through wirecard... I.e. buy something... then send it back.. then get a refund..

something was refunded to my account today but it hasn't shown up on my wirecard.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 370 ✭✭sk282

I got a refund from Amazon without any problems, it was a very small amount related to their Pre-order Price Guarantee thing. It took a few days to show up though and at first you see it reserved under my account tab and then it is added...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 247 ✭✭Carne

The amount is reserved for a few days before it is transferred back to your Wirecard.

    Hello everyone,

Was trawling through the pages on this thread but cant sem to find in simple terms the answers to my questions!
So ill just ask them now and anyone with any experiance with this card can hopefully help me out

First of all, my Aib account is bone dry and I dont want to put money into that account as it will all be sucked into paying off my debts. So how can I get started with Wirecard?? Do I need internet banking or what or can I just lodge it into their account manually??

Secondly, if/when the money is lodged do I have to wait til they send me out the card or what?

Again any (in very simple terms-ha) help will be greatly appreciated. I seem to have gotten myself in a very confused state over all this and Im sure its prob dead simple!!

To be quite honest, If your bank account is unusable/doesn't have internet banking, Wirecard is going to be an absolute pain.
    http://www.payzonemoney.ie/

That is a much better but slightly more expensive alternative.

Drop into any spar or payzone outlet and buy a card and top it up.

I received an email from Wirecard recently. It included the following text:

"We would like to remind you that your maximum annual transactions are limited to EUR2,500.00 for security reasons. Wirecard is legally obligated to impose this limit on all users who have registered without an identity check."

"Transactions", in my mind, includes both deposits and withdrawals. For some reason I was under the impression that the €2500 annual limit applied to deposits alone. Would someone please disambiguate the rule for me?

Just send off your details and the limit will be lifted. It's painless :) I'm not sure what the limit applies to but it really takes no time to get it lifted :)
