Brilliant refereeing! That's the oldest trick in the book.

Some bad wides from both sides. Either team can win if they up their play.

O'Flynn scores and he's just off the bench. Cork 4 ahead.

Oh no! Perfect chance for a Cork goal missed!

Sin é. Well done Cork. They finished very very well -- always a good sign.

It will be interesting to see where either team goes after this. We could well see Cork v. Kerry again this year....

Fair play to Cork. I was sure Kerry were gonna win it well after the first few minutes of the second half.

Congrats to the lads. When we give really good ball into our full forward line we cause real havoc, and when Conor picks the right 15 we can beat the best.

And to those who said Cork couldn't play any better then we did last week... :D

It's on days like this that is unfortunate that we have the qualifiers. Otherwise, Kerry would be out. Unfortunately, we haven't heard the last of them. Let's hope they get a tough one in the qualifiers, and are put out.Without doubt the penalty was the turning point. A good Cork win. Talking points: Well, we had Galvin... again, and a match that got delayed that Dublin weren't even playing in. Yes, it does happen.

Delighted we finished the job at the second attempt but have to put it in perspective, we are only in a Munster Final. Limerick are a good team and won't be a bit overawed by us (especially seeing as they really should have beaten us last year).
Kerry are still a force to be reckoned with, Croke Park always seems to bring the best out of them, if they get Donaghy back it will be a big boost to them. Interestingly, I heard someone say that as Galvin was sent off last July that makes it two sendings-off in twelve months so he is in line for a long suspension?

Well, he's moved back from hitting notebooks to people again, so he should serve the penalty.

I don't know why exactly but Galvin rubs me up the wrong way. However, let's get off his back and not make this thread become a Galvin-bash-aton. I mean, two men got sent off in that match today.

Cork deserved there win and really won well. 20 minute delay and not a dub in sight. Will Cork and kerry fans get a bollocking for not turning up on time? i doubt it as it will be swept under the carpet. Arriving late for a game is not a dublin thing its an irish thing.

Great Win by cor. Showed they really wanted it more. Lots of tired legs on some kerry players.
    Still they will regroup.

Now on to the Munster Final.Should be a Great Game and on in cork as well.

Must Say as well Great crowd at todays Match.

Congratulations to Cork, I was at the match today and Kerry were all over the place and could not do anything to stop the onslaught. Pierce O'Neill was outstanding for Cork and fielded ball like Mick O'Connell and Kerry simply had no answer to him.

Padraig Reidy was absolutely destroyed and the penalty saved Cork as Kerry came out at half time all guns blazing and tore Cork to shreds to in the first ten minutes of the second hald reducing the 5 point deficit to level so I take good points from this that when Kerry play well they can destroy any team. Noel O'Leary showed the sort of sh1t he is capable of and Paul Galvin retaliated like the idiot he is. O'Leary should get three months and Galvin one.

Kerry now have alot of work to do but I have no doubt they will get their act together and if Kerry meets Cork again I think Kerry will out edge them. Kieran Donaghy's missing presence is an awful loss to the team also.

If there are two players you could tip for trouble it is these two. It might be a good idea also to incorporate the add ons and updates to the charter to the original charter post which I read but it makes no mention of player abuse (which is further down and I now spotted) and having charters with multiple posts and updates means that more people will miss pieces of the charter when it should really be a single post outlining everything stickified & locked and not the mish mash that currently exists.

NWK, was the O'Leary/Galvin incident right in front of you, and if so, please tell us what exactly happened?

    Great win for |Cork ..yes

But there must be something going on in the Kerry panel. Thats not a real Kerry championship team that we have seen in the last 2 matches .

Like , look at the National League performances from Kerry ..........teh hunger is now gone ........................but why ?

I'd give Cork more credit. We have always been very good at midfield against Kerry, and doubly so with Dara on his way out today, and we have always been fitter then Kerry since Conor came in. Today, we had a near fit panel and the right 15 picked, plus Conor got things right on the sideline, didn't panic after Kerry's spurt early in the second half and bring Cussen on for example. More importantly, our squad is at its strongest in a decade and our distribution was mainly excellent.

As I said before, with the right 15 picked, as it was today, we are a very good team. Kerrigan, Masters, O'Connor and Goulding can all score, thats about three more scoring forwards then we usually have had over the past decade. Kerrigan showed flashes of his talent today, he is going to be special with a bit more work, while Pa Kelly and Pearse O'Neill were very, very good.

I was at the game but missed incident as it was what it was - off the ball.

netwhizkid, you say it was Noel O leary that started it? By implying that Galvin, as you say, 'retaliated'?

I would like to know what happened too. Galvin on the ground, which is the first of what i saw of it, suggests he started something and O'Leary struck back. This is what i read on Teletext reports off television too.

Ref immediately sent O'Leary off but only intervention by linesman saw Galvin seeing red too.

    Anyone else see what happened?

It was an off the ball incident and I was sitting pretty close in the stand and Noel O'Leary hit Paul Galvin a thump into the face and Galvin retaliated and there was also choice words. Galvin should not have retaliated and lost the moral victory over O'Leary instantly, should such an assault have occured in the street etc. it would be an arrestable offence with court proceedings etc.

Galvin got a fair wallop from him and just saw red and hit back which is only human nature really but still not have done it.

Noel O'Leary is Cork's version of Galvin and while not having as many cards to his name he is always pushing the limits and this is ruining football. I witnessed an assault and would not like kids to see this, the behaviour of the crowd in the stand during this point leads me to believe that the GAA will have to begin segregating supporters in the near future as I believe that had Galvin not been sent off that anarchy would have broke out, friendly rivalry it was not.

I am disappointed for Paul as he was behaving well throughout the league and behaved himself good enough the last day also except he seemed to have one Cork players head half way to Australia from the tv highlights anyway!

I was sitting in the stand. Bit of an overreaction to call for segregation being honest. Didn't see or hear anything that would suggest there was tension between the fans. Ridiculous comment in my opinion.

I honestly think had Kerry won there would have been a riot where I was, terrible show from the Supporters and the 25 min delay for the crowd to come in from the City was an absolute joke. 30,000 attendance in Cork City? 32,000 in Killarney! I think today saw the fairweather Cork supporter out and I am not a fan of him or his foul language and driving knees and flags into my back in stand seats big enough for a 5 year old.

    Yeah, that's behaving well alright.
