DME contains lots of maths and is more low level.
    ie
    Programming
    Maths
    Image processing
etc... (know a lot about the course)

    Multimedia is higher level ie
    Photoshop
    Web Design
etc.. (know less about this course)

I'm an engineer so I would be biased towards DME as I
think it would give you a better background but then
Multimedia would give you much better design capabilities.

Either way the prospects for either are pretty piss poor
at the moment but in 4 years time, who knows. :)
