Photoshop 'REplace Color' Option?

I'm trying to use the replace color option in photoshop 7 but its not working, i have followed online tutorials but it just wont change the colour of the image, can anyone help?

Did you double clcik on the replacement color swatch on the bottom right of the dialogue box? Also make sure Preview is ticked.
