art workshop on sherkin island

has anyone got any info on summer art workshops on Sherkin Island, in west cork?

Hi there,

Heard about this particular course which is been run by two artists one who works in the interior design world and the other a very well known artist from the Island who is also a lecturer on the DIT distance degree program, So sounds like excellent tuition plus Sherkin is such a beautiful place with fantastic views and landscape, can't imagine a better place to develop artistic skills and get loads of inspiration. Would love to do it myself.

thanks for that, it sounds good but i dont know the area very well - i can check that out. anyway im interested. are you thinking of doing it?

If I can I will, need to check time off at home to get away, heard there is a website where you can send inquiries, do you have it the web address?

Hi,
I happen to be one of the organisers of this workshop.
Check out www.sherkinart.com for all the information.
It is an all inclusive workshop, monday to Friday. €750 will cover all accomodation, meals, tuition, Ferries and materials. There is a field trip one of the days to Heir Island... There are still some places open and if you are both interested you'd be gauranteed a week of creativity, inspiration landscape, relaxation and fun.

I just checked out the web-site, Sherkin Island looks amazing & what a good idea to do something like this down there, I'm sure there's a lot of interest, I see June 29th is the 1st week, so i'l be in touch asap.
