Development of St. Annes park near old pond

Anyone know what on earth they are doing here besides ruining what used to be one of the most interesting parts of St. Anne's Park...They've flattened the whole area out. Used to love playing around there when I was a kid. Near wongs for anyone who's unsure where I'm talking about.
