hey can anyone suggest settings for a g'n'r type tone through a boss gt-8 and a gibson sg standard?i'm having trouble getting a decent tone!

well i find with my metal zone, i go for a typical rock sound and then turn up the lows a bit and turn down the distortion

hi

this may be of no use, but.......

i have a gt-6, never used a gt8

the leadstack ampsim gets you halfway there

on the gt-6 there are lots of presets
that will get you quite close, tweak and save them to you own taste

I would concentrate on the preamp rather than the OD/dist
