I got into Travian a while back and got very addicted very quickly, to the point I was getting up at 6am to get an hour in before heading to work.

After about a month or so I got fed up with being farmed every day and packed it in. I would be interested in starting up again if you have a boards alliance on the go.

Also, was wondering if the game is any less addictive if you don't play on the speed server? Found myself with the laptop on nearly the whole weekend so that I optimised the usage of my supplies, anybody got any experience of playing on the slower servers and do you find it any less addictive because there is less going on. Also wondered is there anyway round getting farmed while you are at work everyday? like playing on the slower servers?

dont know that there is a boards alliance. should start on a new server sometime.
when i was starting up there was only the normal servers available - i tried speed but got hockied out of it a few weeks in so deleted.
its not really less addicitve

espicially when you get to a few villages and are raiding alot.

I just moved into my 2nd village in a new area and about 15 new villages sprung up around me. already twice the size as the biggest village around me. stopped builing res and started on my military already

best way around getting farmed would be sitters though i check every few hours in work.

ive 2 villages now with pop of 452 though i have been going 2 months. 60 is good for a week.

keep putting everything into your resources in the early part, don't worry too much about buildings just yet apart from warehouse and granary
log on a few times a day

Do any of ye want to start a new alliance, on a new server, in about a month from now? we could pm all the members of boards.ie that posted on this thread and get as many as possible of us to start at the same time on a new server and start an alliance from day 1

if your interested subscribe and reply to the thread

if there is interest we could find out when there is another good server starting.

I'm new to it as well, I started a few days ago. Seems to good so far but would like to form an alliance so that I wont get owned. I'm on server 6, username: Askinvillar and located at 185,69. Thanks.

You would be better off trying to protect yourself and build for now and then join the largest alliance that will take you

I deleted on 6 as i have 2 other servers going and on the speed server i have a population of 6000+

i agree... if we all started where you are now we could be hours away from each other... and small

better to try and get used to the game for a while.

Is ther any particular server thats good to join that would have boards members already on it ? or is there a Boards alliance ?

best thing to do would be to find a server that started about a month or two ago and start there.
if you start on a server just as it starts you have everyone dominating the area they are in. if you wait until they are too big to annoy you when you start... it will at least give you a while to get in and find an alliance to join
