I spoke to Tom Dunne today about publishing some promotional codes for my application and he said I should post a new thread that we could all use to publish the codes for our Apps.

I know that promotional codes are used for the US iTunes store, but you can create an account quite easily in order to redeem them. Once you have signed up you can download the App and get it onto your device with just a little bit of fiddling about.

Change store accounts on your device like this

Apple Support Doc on multiple iTunes accounts in different countries

and install the application from the app store on your device.

Remember to log out and sign back in with your Irish account and sync again when you've done.

Yes, plus even better now on OS v3.0 you can switch accounts on the device without needing to resync with your computer

Great app looks very good.

Why doesn't apple allow to use codes in the Irish Itunes? I don't think we will the updates for "My Bill" with our Irish account as we used a US account to get it.

I'm not sure about the updates thing. You might have to switch to your US account to download them.

Apple haven't yet provided a way to get codes for non-US stores. Hopefully they'll sort this out. I'd love to be able to give away codes to Irish users.

The main new feature is the ability is choose the order in which stations are displayed, mainly so's you can have your local or favourite stations at the top of the list so you don't have to scroll all the way down if you live near Shankill or one of stations near the end of the alphabet.

Also you now get the number of minutes until a train arrives as well as the actual arrival time in HH:MM format.

Again I've tried to keep it as simple as possible with no 'in your face' controls and a very easy to use interface.

Hope that helps, fingers crossed Apple will ok it soon.

As the update just went out for Dublin Real Time Rail, I've set the application to be free for the next couple of days to get some more exposure and give it a bit of a trial with the new features.
