Help with a control maths formula

    Electrical engineering exam Wednesday and need help on the following control formula if possible:

    Lads there is a smart bunch here and Im looking for a second opinion on a question, Ive a formula:

    TP = 3.14
    (Wn ×√(1-ε^2 ))

    and I want to get the formula reading Wn = , i.e I need to find a value for Wn and I have TP and the rest.

    I think Im right but want a second opinion.

    The formatting on boards doesn't help with these, you'd be as well finding an editor that can display the formulas exactly (OpenOffice has a Math [sic] program and Microsoft's offering has a plug-in I think) as you mean and take a screenshot (or draw it in a graphics package). but assuming it's just TP = pi over (W . root stuff), just swap TP and Wn (or, equivalently multiply by Wn/TP).

    So you get (in OpenOffice format) W_n = %pi over {TP cdot sqrt {1 - %epsilon ^ 2}}, which renders like the first bit of this

    Ah come on, this is junior cert.-level stuff. Set it equal to 0 and solve the resulting quadratic equation.

    Yeah, maybe. Same sequence on the Leaving cert forum. Ah well.
