I wonder can anyone help me, I'm trying to record NTL digital onto a PC but I can't get to connect the cable box to the PC to view a channel not to mention record.
Any help at all would be much appreciated

How are you connecting teh NTL box to the computer ?

You need a tv tuner card (or s-video inputt) for the PC before you can do anything...

I'm connecting the NTL Cable box to the tuner card on the PC by scart to composite. The PC is Dell XPS 430 with a Hauppage tuner card Win TV 1200 Hybrid.

Is your scart -> composite cable going in the right direction (i.e. the scart bit is "out" and the composite bits are "in". I bought one in Power City but it was the wrong one (the component bits were "in" and the scart "out" (for connecting camera to a TV for example). I just grabbed it off the rail and paid it, assuming it was correct. At least it was only a fiver :)

Some converters have two sets of leads (for in and out for left and right sound as well as video), and others have a switch (like this one that I'm using myself) which has a switch so you can use it either way.

I have the left hand side device from the picture you referenced. I think this is the correct 'scart to composite' but not 100% sure.
