Think something has to be done its all gone a bit flat you could have 3 down 3 up bottom 2 straight down next two playoff loser goes down ...first two go up next playoff winner goes up ... You could put that into action with no hassle next year

that all seems well and good but from what i've experienced in the past i dont think the 3rd and 4th placed teams are gonna be very keen to be promoted to the monday league.they'll probaly be thinking that the 2 ahead of them are gone that they have a very good chance of winning the tuesday league the next year.why spend the year as whipping boys when they could spend it on top of the pile instead.i'm not by any means saying that they would be the whipping boys but the chances are they could be.
i think the fact that there was 2 free weeks and no game on the bank holiday weeks made this season the way it was.if we make sure theres no free weeks and games on bank holiday weeks could make a big difference next season.and for any changes to happen to the monday league next year would require a big majority of teams to say they want it.i said a couple of weeks ago if teams wanted to arrange a meeting to discuss changes to get in touch with me to organise it,nobodys bothered yet.maybe theres not that many that want to change things as they stand.

i understand that DFD but there is teams that would love a crack at the monday that miss out on going up and you know that if the teams that go down stay together have abetter chance of going back up so it gives one more team a crack at the monday and it keeps the teams near the bottom of the monday going all year not to finsh in bottom 4

DONT KNOW MUCH ABOUT THE MON LEAGUE THIS YEAR AS IM PLAYING TUES I HAVENT PLAYED MON FOR FIVE YEARS AS I GAVE IT UP BUT THE SAME TEAMS SAME PLAYERS ARE WINNING YEAR IN YEAR OUT SO FOR TEAMS COMING UP FROM TUES NITE ITS NOT TO WIN ITS TO GET THE EXPERIENCE OF PLAYING GOOD PLAYERS EVERY WEEK NOT JUST ONCE IN A BLUE MOON ON A TUES. NOT KNOCKING THE TUES BECAUSE THE STANDARD SINCE I CAME BACK HAS BEEN UNREAL YOU MAY WELL LOSE MORE THAN YOU WIN BUT TO BEAT THE LIKES OF MICK KANE BULLIT PJ BRYAN IS PROPABLY THE GREATEST FEELING A PLAYER COMING UP WILL GET I KNOW HOW IT FEELS AND I CAN TELL YOU YOUR ON A HIGH FOR THE WEEK TELLING EVERYONE HA HA HA (JUST ASK STE ANDREWS )

True paul playing against the best of the best in the brough raise's your game and if you do beat them yeah your on top of the world and you have to be playing them week in week out to get any where good i started of in the tuesday league and loved it but monday is great if you want to be a better player

Your right S.T.D playing better players will only bring your darts on you know there are teams that would love to play monday but cant win tuesday with teams comeing down or so called new teams let in take this year with the two farm teams they want to go up if one team lose out they would still have 3 rd and 4th playoff or they might lose players to the monday and not make it the next year AND WILL MAKE MONDAY HARDER FOR TOP TEAMS COME END OF SEASON IF TEAMS NEAR BOTTOM ARE STILL TRYING HARD TO STAY OUT OF BOTTOM 4

why not at the end of the season split the two halves of the leagues top 8 bottom 8 .(1v8 2v7 3v6 4v5) (9v16 10v15 11v14 12v13) will mean teams still have something to play for right up to last few weeks of season might stop teams dropping out if you know your only two games away from winning something even if your relegated to tues you still have a chance of a trophy at end of season and will mean more games for people to do it for mon tues and wed might work might not. JESUS THERE ARE LOADS OF US CHELSEA FANS ON HERE HA HA HA

NOT FOR THIS SEASON BUT IDEA FOR NEXT SEASON ANYONE ELSE GOT ANY IDEAS TO MAKE IT A MORE INTERESTING LEAGUE NEXT YEAR NOT JUST FOR THE TEAMS AT THE TOP BUT THOSE AT THE BOTTOM AND IN TUES TO. WHY NOT NEXT SEASON HAVE THE TOP EIGHT MON PLAY THE TOP EIGHT TUES IN A CUP COMPETITION ONLY ANOTHER FOUR GAMES FOR THE TWO FINALISTS KEEP THE MON AND TUES TEAMS APART IN THE FIRST ROUND DRAW SO HAVE A SEEDED DRAW WIT MON IN ONE POT AND TUE IN THE OTHER SO YOU WILL HAVE 8 MATCHES MON V TUES WILL MEAN THE TEAMS AROUND 9TH 10TH 11TH WILL ALL HAVE SOMETHING TO AIM FOR THAT 8TH PLACE FINISH COULD WORK WHAT YOU THINK

have to agree wit you on the standard of players in tues i came back this year to work my way into monday again its been the hardest season ive ever had played boycie shane ryan rowie this season beat boycie and shane lost to rowie had 140 140 100 81 against him and still bloody lost boycie and shane are two of the best young players i have seen in over 20 years playing darts its always the oldies who get the credit but these two could be big if they keep playing the way they are and pity we are playing the red team in final would love to have been there cheering them on they deserve to take something away from this season but who ever wins on the nite will deserve it if we lose i will be the first to shake there hands because neve met a nicer bunch of lads

thats been the problem for the last few years, people more interested in winning trophies than playing good dart players week in week out, and as for wanting a crack at the monday teams, i dont think so? just look at what they done with the harry halligan! the tuesday league voted to have 2 seperate cups because they could'nt win a MEDAL, but the funny thing is, the last 2 or 3 HARRY HALLIGAN cup final's had a tuesday team in them. bring back the HARRY HALLIGAN with the monday and tuesday all in together, and get some real athmosphere back into darts.

got to say there are only a few teams capable of winning the mon league as for winning trophies never in darts for that playing since i was 18 25 years and some of the comments have been that i was one of the best darts players in the borough league what have i won 1 tues league wit mckennas years ago and one mckennas cup wit the thatch were not all after trophies but understand what you mean and why cant we have a mon cup a tues cup and a mon and tues mixed cup wit all teams going into the draw not just the top 8 andas for MILLWALL whats that all about ICU I FOLLOW CHELSEA

i would love that to happen again, this is only my second season so i wasn't around when it was monday/tuesday in the same cup but i would love to be playing monday teams, it's all experience in the end.
i love to play darts i really don't care if i win a medal or cup, if i play good darts against a good player then i'm happy

pity i play for the farm blue would love to see you win something but like you lot were going for the double to maybe we can win one each ha ha

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 783 ✭✭✭HITMANHEALY

The banter is great on this lately, with the league with 5 to 6 matches i would say that Fitzpatricks are still in with a shout to win the league, there playing at Home to Ramblers and then away to Farm Blue on Thursday, with the farm blue travelling to silver tassie, they be up for it, there a good side at home. Farm Red have Robbins at home.

Who knows after Thursday there might be only 2 teams in contention.

With the cup Thursday week, think our lads will concentrate for the next 2 matches before then.

It be interesting to see Paul, all looks tight at the top, should be good banter on Thursday week, hopefully some players dont get carried away and ruin the night..
