Well new reds started the other week, may will be yellow, is there an intake in june? If there is you'll be the new blues, if there isnt one in june you'll be the new greens. There is an intake missed out somewhere so if you have a date for july im guessing its june. This has probably been cleared up somewhere else but oh well.

Yeah, deferral has been granted and all. do we receive a new welcome pack before July or do we just have to make do with the one we have for May? all i seem to do is ask questions.lol

Me and PYG have discussed this ( yes we're THAT sad ) theres no June intake and because of the way the five weeks between intakes works there's also likely to be no intake in September.

I am assuming that we will get a new Student Induction Pack. I was told on the phone when I was aksing about my deferral that the Student Induction Day for the July intake would be during the first couple of weeks in July.

Yeah thats right about September but thats just because of the way the weeks fall whereas before that i'm assuming the intake that would normaly fall in June is actually put back until July.

Is it just me or does it seem like ages since we got the phone call. anyone made a start on the fitness training? as ive heard it can be quite intense. im doin a couple of days a week at the gym so hopefully that will help. what's the average age of the julyians so far? im 20 myself and was just wondering if there is gonna be a good mix of ages or whether its gonna be lots of people around my age.

Can anyone shed any more light bout the induction pack, do we receive a new one cos we have deferred?

anyone who defers will get a new pack sent out to them a few weeks before they are due to start, same time as the rest of the course who havent deferred. ( if thats clear? )

    hey folks

ive noticed a few of you for the july intake are deferrals....

just wondering if anyone can shed some light on the deferral process?

are they very strict on reasons for deferral, for example would it be only things like a wedding or something like that? if someone was lucky enough to get the call but had a bit of travelling booked for a couple of months to see family in australia do you think this type of thing would be acceptable for a deferral??

also what is the process for requesting one? if you got the call do you have to request it there and then (amidst your excitement at getting the call!!) or does it have to be in writing later etc? oh and if you did request a deferral and they deemed it unacceptable would this hamper your chances of getting in, like would they withdraw or reconsider their offer?

if anyone can help at all that would be much appreciated!!

    cheers folks!

In my case I had a holiday booked for the end of May and the deferral was pretty much granted over the phone. However, they send out the induction pack and you have to put it in writing as to why you want to defer, just to make it official. mine took bout two days to be officially granted. altho, they onli allow you to defer once cos I tried to defer again for July due to a wedding I have to go to but was not allowed.

It's strange, you would think that after waiting a year to hear from them you would want to get started straight away but things just kept cropping up.lol. i think that if you are going to be at a great financial loss or if you are getting married then they have to grant it but pretty much everythin else is unacceptable. Please feel free to correct this ppl's cos I'm onli using my own personal experience. Hope I've answered your question sufficiently. If I haven't then let me know.

Given1 - is this your first time applying?

I am 26 and deferral more or less grented over phone but as mentioned earlier you must put in writing why. I also enclosed documentaion to back up my request bookings etc. Just to make sure I had every base covered.;) Can't wait to start now. PS thats' a couple of 20yr olds and a 26 yr old what other ages are you guys in this intake?

    Teg
