Im from the West side of Athlone.

I was forced by poverty and lack of opportunity to emigrate to the East side.I miss this beautiful part of town very much.

At night I dream of the day that I might be able to return to my roots and live happily ever after.

I'm 2 miles from Athlone town centre and about 20 miles to Roscommon town centre and yet my address is supposed to be Roscommon...But I registered my car WH and always use Westmeath as postal address... I don't want to be a redneck

Theres a good reason why the only good thing on Ros side is the pubs! You wouldnt be able tolerate the ****yness without a degree of intoxication.

Well I prefer the castle actually:), but think i'm a bit old for the palace, but mite be there for the 1999 price weekend this weekend, No I'm usually to be found these days in coppers or the Prince..:):)
