A 'well-thought of' job-merchant is still a job-merchant. And SOS kicked his ass!! Whoop!

Agreed but he probably has the ears of the booking team aswell and I would expect the muscle giant to beat the midget wrestler even these days when its so real

What's the over/under on how many milk bottle references are made during his eventual tv debut?

Having stood beside and locked up with Sheamus countless times I can tell you he is AT LEAST 6'4, they bill him at 6'6 so that's about right, 2 inch embellishment is usually the norm.

I'm 6'1" at most and I could have sworn that Sheamus isn't any taller than me. I know that Shawn and others have said the same in the past. Maybe we've bjj just been imagining stuff :pac:

SOS used to train (as most of us did) in flat sole boxing boots and judging my height against his, he is at least 6'4. EVEN WWE wouldn't bill a guy who's 6'1 as 6'6. If he was 7'1, then 7'6 wouldn't be beyond them, the bigger the wrestler the bigger the embellishment, but not 6'1.

WWE have kane wearing 4 inch soles to give him a taller appearance so the same thing could possibly happen SOS.

    On a topic swerve...

Did they actually have him billed as SOS? Some kids coulda thought he was Kofi's cousin or something.

    Nope, he's simply Sheamus O'Shaunessy.

Wonder will he ever get a change in his name for him if he gets called up to the main roster.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 908 ✭✭✭The Cannibal

I've trained with him as well, but I don't think he is 6'4". I have a friend who is 6'4" and he towers over me being that I'm only 5'10". Sheamus was obviously much bigger than me, but I never felt he was as big. I think he is 6'2" maybe 6'3" at a push. Threw me around like I was only 50lbs though, he is one strong mofo.

I would also assume WWE will change his name. They always change names now so they can copyright the name. Look at Colt Cabana changed to scotty Goldman, Low Ki to Kaval.

Also likely to get a new finisher as Vlad Kozlov is doing a move very similar to Sheamus.

The length of the name could be a problem too. Anyone know if the name worked well in FCW?

Apparently his rock bottom now transitions into a back breaker but who knows what it'll be by the time he makes TV.

Also Cannibal, if you're 5'10, then i'm 6'6 dude! ha ha! ;) SOS is bigger than 6'2 but hey we won't argue over 2 inches, i doubt any of us, myself included, has ever measured the big ginge! :)

Oh right. I just assumed the person reporting had gotten backbreaker and spine buster mixed up.

It didn't seem a problem in the FCW videos on you tube. As it is long alot of the the time he is referred to just as Sheamus.

Don't know if you're saying I'm smaller than that, but I'm definitely 5'10". I'm guessing that we know each other but I don't know your real name so I can't comment on your height in comparison.

But indeed, you are actually right about HIS height. I proved myself wrong.

    http://www.sosofficial.com/gallery4.shtml

There is SOS with Irish boxer Kenny Egan. Egan is billed as 6'2" and Sheamus has a couple of inches on him. I guess he is 6'4". I just never got the impression that he was that tall for some reason that I have got with other people of a similar height.

Sheamus is definately 6'4. He wrestled Drew Galloway on countless ocassions here for iww and he was only marginally shorter than Drew. Drew is a legit 6'5, I think we can all agree on that?

I reckon the reason people think SOS is shorter is because of his size and lack of tan. A tan makes you look leaner and thus taller; again to compare with Drew, he is a lot more tanned than SOS and a bit leaner as well. That's the only logical conclusion I can come up.

    Great post man.

Yeah Drew is definitely 6'5, a top, top guy too.

I've stood beside him as well, he's nowhere near 6'4 unless he was wearing platforms. I'm only 5'10 myself, but he's only about another few inches on me. So 6'1-6'2 sounds about right, because eventhough he is taller than me, he doesn't exactly dwarf me either.

I think that SOS got Egan to crouch down for that photo to further the embellishment of his height

    You're all huge.

Shawn, we've had this discussion in person before, Sheamus is 6'4 and he does dwarf you!

Without giving anything away about myself, you know my height and he's bigger than me.

I'm the same height as you Shawn and having stood beside SOS, he dwarfs me! The guy is 6'4, fact!

If any of you ever meet him again you're going to have to make sure to have a tape measure handy. This topic has come up two or three times before :pac:

On the free show on F4wonline due to
    Kendrick beating Carlito clean
Meltzer assumed that he'd be getting a tag programme but with no natural partner it might be someone else, and he believed the most likely candidate to be S.O.S.

The dark match at RAW last night in Columbus was Sheamus O'Shaunessy against Jamie Noble. Sheamus won in a short, but good match to start off the event.

It says on wwe.com that on the next episode of superstars it will be Big Show vs Horswoggle. First thing I thought of was SOS helping Hornswoggle somehow. Like Finlay cant be on Raw so he arranged for his cousin Sheamus to help the midget or something. Maybe, maybe not

Haha, that would be classic... and strangely quite logical! However, i just read that
Golddust (of all people) made the save at the end of this match (could this be WWE setting up an oddity type group again?)

    Expect santina to follow suit?
