    Found this blowing down Francis Street last week. Coudn't believe my eyes. I investigated further and found them for sale around Thomas St. Taste exactly the same...gorgeous starting off and after about twenty seconds...Zilch. No flavour. Perfect.

    I didn't realise Golden Nuggets had gone away!:eek:

    Are Snickers going to revert to being Marathons again soon? Why did they change in the first place?
    And what happened to Opal Fruits?

    Well I hadn't seen them since chewing gum became good for your teeth, so that's about 25 years.

    Opal fruits went the same way as Marathon. Global advertising: one add to suit all countries. It makes sense. We got to keep the name Twix as it was heading towards Raider (or as the ads on Super Channel would say "Raider! Raider! Raiderrrr le Snack!!!" then the next ad to follow was usually "Ballisto-Great rowing dear").


    As for Sugar Puffs; the Quaker brand has been bullied off many shelves in a lot of large shopping chains by Kellogs.
