    Get on public transport.
Pretend you're on the phone and talk about your 3 week tour of Mexico.
    Hang up.

Bad flu epidemics can hit young adults hardest because they provoke their powerful immune systems into overreaction, so to stay healthy spend the next few weeks drunk and sleep-deprived to keep yours suppressed.

We should create a blockade like 30 days later, than way noone is coming in or going out of the country.

be careful people. this could get super serious.

I think anyone coming from a return flight from either country should be chucked into an incinerator, just to make sure. Harsh and drastic but needed.

Damn! I was being really careful but, through no fault of my own, I suddenly found myself in Mexico kissing a pig. I feel such a fool.

How the feck are you supposed to be 'careful' ??!?!

    Confirmed cases in Scotland.

Also, anyone else hear rumours that the HSE are investigating a case?

    1,614 cases, with 103 deaths

That's still a 6% death rate, barely 1% higher then pneumonia.

The issue is, it seems to be spreading much more rapidly than pneumonia.

The new strain is a reassortment of multiple other known strains, including one avian flu strain.

    RTE Newsflash:

Tamiflu vaccine stockpile is to be distributed to TDs, Senators, their cronies, senior Civil Servants, HSE critical personnel, and Boards.ie Subscribers. The MD of Boards, a Mr DeVore, has informed us just now that the Subscription List has been closed.

I bet the mods'll be pissed off about that :D

    And a plea to everyone:

For god's sake call it Pig Flu. Swine Flu sounds stupid. When Avian Flu was around we called it Bird Flu, right?

Personally I'm calling it The Piggy Sniffles.
