Can't cope if it's bad news

A close relative of mine is due some results of tests tomorrow, it's not looking good, possibly cancer, will know for sure tomorrow. Thing is we've had nothing but bad news i.e. deaths and sickness, in our family over the last 12 months and I don't think I can take much more of it.

I know I'm worrying already and there isn't even any results yet, I just don't know how to deal with this if it's bad news. I'm freaking out, really worried, starting to panic even.

I have to go to the hospital again this evening and put on this brave face for my relative, don't know if I can, but I will have to. How can I keep myself calm and get myself to relax until I know facts from the results tomorrow.

Nothing you can do but suck it up I'm afraid.

If you're feeling bad think how freaked out the person themselves are. Put on the show for them, and if it turns out to be bad news, that's not to say that it'll end up with them dying either.

We all get pelted with **** from time to time, you just have to keep the chin up and keep going until things get better.

If things are still seeming bleak when times are good, think about a visit to your GP.
