Is anyone interested in Allotments in the Tralee Area?

Currently there are no allotments in the Tralee area, and there is serous talks of them being set up in times to come on the outskirts of Tralee.
However the first step is to find out if there would be any interest in them!

Remember that you do not have to be good at gardening as gardening cources may be set up too!

Post here and tell us if you would be any way interested, do not not leave your name let it be totaly confidential as we just need to check if there would be any interest.

    Thanks for your help!

    hey finebyme,

maybe here is not the best place to ask, everyone knows that most people on boreds.ie barely see the light of day :D

Might be worth sticking up a few posters around town, in community centres shops etc. Might be worth getting in contact with the few organic gardens/farms if you havent alreaddy, they might be interested or would surely getting to the word out to people who might be interested. There is one in the town park, Rathonane, castlemaine, gortbrack .... thats off the top of my head, so there is probally more.

Anyway sounds like a great idea.

BTW do you mind mentioning who the 'us' is ?

When I go on to that site I get directed to http://www.traleeallotments.com

I guess they changed their name!

I see an advert in the Tralee Outlook for allotments. They appear to be the above company.

There was something in the paper last week about a proposal for Tralee town council to turn disused land over to people for use as allotments.
