How are TSM Results Calculated???

I'm SS TSM and it's recently occurred to me that I have no idea how my degree results are calculated.

I'm pattern A. I've four courses (two with each dept) .

    Is my degree result a mean average? E.g. 75+65+55+50 = avg 61.25 = II.1?

    Or do I get two separate grades? E.g. 75+65 = avg 70 = I and 55+50 = avg 52.5 = II.2?

Or is there some more complex system???

I've had a look around the TSM website, but it's not very useful...

It shouldn't make a difference to your average grade, because the average of 70 and 52.5 is 61.25, a II.1, which is the same as you got in your first calculation. Take a look at it again, and see if that makes sense.

The best way to check whether this is how it works or not would be to e-mail both departments, or anybody else in charge of TSMs.

TSM Pattern A (Senior Sophister): class recorded for each subject, together with an overall class, which is determined by the straight average of the percentage marks for the two subjects.
