Hi , just wondering is there any other services other than Lastmile that operates from the mast on the ridge of capard.Lastmile seem very expensive for not a lot of bandwidth.I have direct line of sight to the base station and im 4km away from it on the skerry/clonaheen road.
I dont think i can get DSL as when I check all the phone numbers near to me none of them pass even though both the mountmellick and rosenallis exchange are enabled.Should I order a phone line from eircom and just tell them that I only want it for DSL ?

No offence bigpaddy but my brother had premierbb before and it was terrible, the connection was down more than it was up and customer care was non exhistent.Pings were awful , worse than 56k even though he was told it was good for online gaming.

You asked a simple question and I answered it. If our service was that terrible I dont think we would have the customer base we have today nor would we be in business this long either.

Ok to be fair maybe a lot has changed since then. Is the 4mb/1mb package available from my location and what sort of pings could I expect to irish servers.
