Hi I have an Aria Strat copy thats be lying useless for the last year and recently got a Fender American Std Strat. Basically I waas wondering if it would be worth fixing up the old Aria copy with some new quality pickups maybe duncans or something. Is this a lost cause?

Sure, why leave a guitar go to waste. :)

If you don't want to splash out a load of cash you can get some nice pickups from Guitar Fetish for fairly cheap. Don't get their pre-assembled pickguards though, those have different pickups... not as good.

It's up to you man. If you like how it feels, like the action and like the hardware/wood on it then i'd say it's a perfect oppurtunity to upgrade!.

You could stick some duncan stacked humbuckers, or lace sensor reds in there and have an angry fire breathing gain machine, to contrast with your pristine, sparkling strat tone :).
