Quick Question

    Hi,

I'm taking my missus out for dinner and I want book into a hotel afterwards. We can't stay the whole night  so we will have to leave after a few hrs of fun :)

    Anyway, two questions;

    1) I assume the hotel will charge me for the whole night?
    2) Are hotel personnel used to people booking in then leaving a few hrs later? As I'm a bit mortified :o about leaving early, say 1am in the morning and the kind of looks (nudge nudge wink wink etc) I might get from hotel staff.

    Thanks in advance

    Shazam

You'll be paying the full lot and dont have to explain about leaving early, its none of there business..

    enjoy your night.

    Hi Shazam,

!,Yes they will charge for the whole night.

2,Hotel personnel are used to seeing all kinds of things to be frank but checking out at ths time would be unusual.

Have you tried "short term solutions"?

Might be a better option for you and "Missus".

Yes they will most definitely charge you for the first night.

You could see if you could find a hotel with a 24 reception, most have this, and then make up an excuse for checking out early (family emergency etc)... they are hardly going to look at you strangely for this!

I've worked in a lot of hotels in the past & trust me, they would have seen a lot worse then someone not staying the whole night!
When you're checking out, you could just say something came up at home & you have to leave.
    Have fun!!

We have no option at the moment. My house is getting painted and the fumes would knock out an elephant. And my GF's housemates are clowns and wouldn't let us have some "time" together.

So should I go ahead and book?

You dont need an excuse to leave early, dont worry about that, just leave..
if there is no 1 on reception so what, just go home..

its not a jail, its a hotel..they dont care what you do once they get payed.

You're paying for it so only you can decide that. I fail to see how asking whether you should book a hotel room or not is a PI tbh so I'm closing this thread.
