Anyone know where I can find biodegradable string or twine?

all cotton twine is biodigradable. its the white stuff you find on the odds and ends racks in most stores in the little blister packs. you can also find jute twine in some hardware stores. just is a kind of cotton, but feels more "furry".

a rough test which can help you identify types of twine is this; with a lighter set the end on fire and see if it melts. some stuff like boot laces, paracord etc will melt. thats cos they are nylon (plastic) thats no good. if it just blackens and breaks it is more likely to be cotton.

another option if you wanna be super ecological and different is; make your own cordage. its the season for bramble and nettle. both of which make excelent cordage.
