Which Linux distro's are the most Unix-like and the least Unix-like?

    I heard Slackware is the most Unix-like. Is this correct? Which would be the least like Unix? Also where would the following come on the scale?

    Arch
    Knoppix
    Debian
    Ubuntu
    Fedora
    Mandriva
    OpenSuse
    Gentoo

    Define UNIX(c)? AIX, SCO, Solaris, HPUX, IRIX?

    ubuntu and knoppix are (based on / derivative works) of debian.

    Fedora and Mandriva
    use RPM packages RED HAT linux

    opensuse or suse .................. from novel

    Gentoo is a free operating system based on either Linux or FreeBSD.

    so to answer question
    slackware, gentoo and debian would be the three top stable linux's but then you have the BSD to consider as well as you mention arch?
    FreeBSD is a Unix-like free operating system descended from AT&T UNIX via the Berkeley Software Distribution (BSD) branch

    Any *NIX that is strict about software updates/patches.
    Debian stable, CentOS and FreeBSD reign at the top in this respect.
    Gentoo, Arch and the likes are nice, but nowhere near as suitable
    for a production enviroment like the above are.

    I remember reading that there was one fully POSIX-compliant Linux distro, but I can't remember what it was. I think it was pretty specialised though.
