Hi all, am looking for some recommendations for a cheap, cheap city centre hotel, for dates of 14th -16th May, for 2 guys travelling together? Breakfast included would be great. Its their first time in Dublin and ive sorted out things to do and see but am getting crucified here looking at costs. so thought maybe some of the locals could point me in a good direction. Even a good backpackers hostel link would be cool so i can give them the options? Thanks all..

There are plenty of cheap hotel rooms now thanks to the recession - check out

If there is no availability there spend a bit of time googling. Lots of hotels have special offers at the moment

Portobello Hotel is a cheap bet with breakfast included. It is located near Rathmines but is within walking distance of most city centre night spots.
I have stayed there before and found it perfectly located and very good value. Last time I stayed there was Summer 08 though and maybe prices have increased since then
