Going to the match next week

Night in Bindisi and a night in Bari Woohoo.

How are we on Italian brews?

Should I just stick to cianti and fava beans?

Can't wait should be mighty craic.

    of the generally available ones
SAB Miller own Nastro Azzurro , Peroni, Dreher
    Heineken own Ichnusa, Moretti

In tourist areas you may also get the usual international beers
    Warsteiner is common too

Birra Moretti is pretty crap imo, steer clear.
    Peroni Nastro Azzuro isn't bad
Peroni Reserva's ok, although it has a bit of a strong alcohol taste.
The best I found in Italy was Peroni with the red label. Don't know how widely available it is, but I drank a hell of a lot of it in Sorrento and it's not too bad at all. Has a bit more flavour to it than the Nastro.

A very fathomable beer in my book.

I'm heading over to the match too and am looking forward to sampling it in pint form if possible.

A lot of italians don't drink because they don't like how it dries out your skin and makes you look older. Italy is not a worthy holiday destination for any brother (unless you are going to convert them)

I am heading over to Rome for the Champions League final next month

I shall try and sample the local fare and report back and I will do my bit to promote the Brotherhood and our ways

Wise words - it is a beer fine enough to accompy any football trip.

A few Gallons of Peroni were taken on board plus a few more I can't remember. Blinding couple of days great craic no messing or rows that I saw.

I have to say the Italians were very friendly.
