    Hey guys,
I've been collecting GW, on and off, for the past 17 years or so. Never managed to play any games though. I mainly collected stuff just to paint. I would like to try to get into playing though. Anyone know of people in Waterford City who might like to help me? We have a small book shop here (Tall Tales) that sells GW and used to put on games I think, but as far as I know, there was a lots of kids involved. I'm 32 and would rather not be hanging out with teenagers. When you're that bit older and have not played before, it can be a bit intimidating and makes you feel like a bit of a tit!
    Any suggestions?

First thing to do is figure out what army / system you'd like to collect and play get a rulebook and codex/army book. Find a club as well. they should be able to help you.

I quite like the Warhammer Fantasy era stuff. I did have some Space Marines but kinda lost interest with 40K. I have the rulebook and an army book for Vampire Counts so I'd probably play with them. As for clubs, well that's the reason for posting. I'm looking for a club, or anyone really, to start playing with.

Doesn't Waterford have a 3rd level institute? They might have a club set up (i know NUIG does). They'd be in their 20's so not as bad as teenagers. Or check out the GW website for clubs in the store locator section.
