The GAA club is always a good way to get to know others, even if you just get involved behind the scenes. The squash courts are in the same building as the GAA changing rooms, so they could point you in the right direction.
Theres a tennis club beside the GAA pitch. Aswell, there's indoor soccer in Barnacarrol a few miles away, but groups usually book it themselves. Theres an astro turf pitch at the racecourse. I think you could get info on it in O'Briens pub (by the railway bridge-a big soccer/football pub...and cheap too
).
There's plenty to do in the town and the new pool/gym will be open soon aswell.
