Yeah, it's Paddy Gallagher. The name came back to me last night after I had posted. Didn't realise he was from Ballybrack too.

If you get your hands on a tape player any chance of posting them and letting me know how you converted them to mp3 (i'm not very techie :o) i've boxes of tapes in the attic from the early 90's, detroit techno and house that i could post.

Cafs info on ripping is spot on ,Sound Forge 8 is the better program as it gives you more freedom to go in and touch up the audio, never use the presets for audio cleanup they will ruin it,Soundforge 9 is more automated doesnt give you the freedom.I have a couple of add on filters that will deal with clipping ect if anyone wants them.
Once audio is ripped and tidied I use EAC http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/
with the lame codec in the EAC folder to convert to mp3,if anyone wants any help with either of these programs PM me and I will walk you through them.
A bitch to muddle your way through but just a few clicks of a mouse once its all setup

Here is the first file of 37 of my copy of the OLYMPIC DVD i got some time back......it is the same contents that is in the one Jonny68 posted but i cut mine into a more easy to watch style film......the 37 files are the files straight from a DVD so there is no quality loss and once you have em all you should then look to burn them with a DVD writng program and make a bootable DVD disk as i said they are in .VOB & .BUP etc format & arranged to play as a DVD....will probably need some direction on how this is done as i have never actually done it myself but im sure someone knows once all the files & folders are intact which they should be when you unpack all 37 files......the DVD is made with a title screen & navigatable menu also & Mr. Springs back to 1993 thrown on it to......the DVD i got originally was just under 3GB & all files in total are 3.7GB.....i will put them up one by one as i have them uploaded & then all together when i have all the links up just in case any are missed.......heres the first of many for anyone that wants it;)

YouTube has become a very useful tool for me lately when trying to track down forgotten dance music. It shouldn't be seen as copyright breach at all. If it wasn't for the people who put the time in uploading their collections then these tracks would be a distant memory. All they are doing is keeping them alive by providing a valuable resource for music collectors and reminding people of how great some of these tracks were and still are.

Yeah I think it's silly that they are going after the Youtube uploaders because the quality of the audio on the videos is generally sh1t, but I think they are just being pre-emptive because I don't think it'll be too long before the audio will be at a decent enough quality to rip to CDs and then they certainly would have a case for stopping the uploads.
