my wife just have birth to our daughter a few weeks ago (5)and we got back having sex again and basically her vagina is like a cave!. I am abit worried about this as there is no stimulation when having sex - is this normal? I know it would be abit looser than normal given the circumstances. Shes does her pelvic floor exercises etc.
Any thoughts about this as we are both a bit concerned..

could it be a time thing? 5 weeks is enough time to start again, but the female body would still be getting back into shape, i seem to remember me being looser when first started having sex again (4 weeks first time 6 weeks second time after birth) but now pretty much back to normal. the second time i had stitches as the baby came out in a superman pose :pac: and ripped me quite a bit. but all feels as good as it used to down there now.

maybe a trip to your GP if things do not improve? from my knowledge it shouldn't be quite that bad after a while. she may have needed stitches inside that were not done? or something

There are exercises that can be done to help. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kegels

I'm sure your wife's medical professional will have some advice also.

yes to the kegel exercise and in the meantime, not to get too crude but there are plenty of ways to have sex which dont involve vaginal penetration.

One above said it best. Read the exercises and dont worry. Research other positions. Myself and the o/h never worried about this. I think this is half the secret.

    Give it time.
