Need Help Dechipering Pickup Diagram

Hi All,

I plan on installing two humbuckers tommorrow so I just checked out the Seymour Duncan wiring diagram:

Its all pretty standard except for the coil on the 5 way switch under the red/white bridge pickup wires. I have never seen that on a diagram before, dont suppose anyone could shed some light as to what it is?

I see what you mean about the coil on the switch man, looks like a resistor but that would make no sense!!.

If you look at the top right, it says that all the yellow dots are solder points. Since there's no solder points on that weird component, i'd imagine it represents something already in the switch,so i'd say just ignore it!

Alternatively, you could just get another diagram. Standard H-H pickup diagrams are all over the net

it's a graphic representation of the spring that controls the action of the switch
