Strat body or Bullet body....

I'm on the lookout for a strat and came across this..

I have never seen that vol/tone/inpout jack configuration on a strat before..

I have the exact same configuration on an old Squire Bullet from the 80's.. I was just wondering if this could be a bullet with a strat neck attached or some strats were actually made like this (no offence to the owner if they happen to be a member here).

there were us fenders made in that configuration in the very early 80's asa cost cutting measure
these were the models that were hugely unpopular with the public,and sold badly when compared to the squier JV's launched in '83 iirc
not exactly the pick of the bunch

Yeah, a straight plug cable would make the oul' Pete Townsend "windmill" strum impossible.

Even a 90* plug could do some serious damage to your wrist.

ahh interesting, I had never seen that '82 strat before.

lol the bullet seems to have been a real hybrid of whatever they had left in the storeroom

Mine is different from the general ones around, and seems a hybrid between that 2 control strat and a standard strat trem.

Hi It is a genuine Strat from 1993 they play very well.The only problem with them is the freeflight tremolo system which may not be to everyone's taste.The pick guard jack input is also odd.But a good guitar for future resale value.At that price I would buy.Hope this helps.Jimmy

i'd have to disagree!

for 800 bones you'll get far superior u.s strat better bridge/pickups/rolled fingerboard edges a neck that even fits the pocket :pac:

these were runts in their day,they won't go up in value much if at all

Yeah, i wouldnt be intersted in paying 500-800 for that strat.. was just interested in the unusual design for a strat..

I will be picking up a much nicer Jap strat for less money this week
