anyone any suggestions on how i can stop myself from being lazy. 26 years old and i've noticed in the last year or so i have become very lazy. out of a long term relationship about 7 months now, when we broke up i planned to do lots of things that i never had time to do before like going to the gym, learning to drive etc....what i find is though, which i never knew about myself before is that i kinda lack self confidence when it comes to doing new things, so instead i end up going out most weekends drinking with mates and spend most weekday evening nights lazing about on the couch. really sick of just plodding along doing nothing with myself, but cant seem to get the motivation to do new things either cause im lazy or lack confidence or both? any suggestions?

Could it be related in part to the drinking? Try going dry for the rest of lent, get hooked on coffee and tea, do something creative. Get back into your drawing/writing/music/painting/whatever creative thing you do (everybody has one). Don't be in a mad rush to fly out the door and conquer the world, those little fits of energy rarely last more than a day or two. Just take things slow and develop new habits over time, even if its only going to the Gym once every weekend.
