80's Kids show from Dempsey's Den

This one has been really bugging me!
It was a 1980's kids show that used to be on "The Den" and was what looked to be like characters made from some sort of plastecene (much like the characters who appeared in Bosco, "Gregory's Garden" etc.)

It was set in a wood and the main character was a cottage named Miranda. The front of the cottage was literally a female face. The other characters included a talking pillar box and animals from the wood.

Anybody remember anything about it, or what it was called?
