have you ever noticed the more chin fat you acquire, the easier it is to eat and drink lying down??

Less straining the neck in order to swallow properly??

Serious benefit in growing fat!!

Plus, with chin fat, you tend to develop better moobs. Perfect place to sit the large packet of Walkers Sensations.

there is actually a scientific reason to this:

a lot of fat/double chins are in fact a result of proper posture-most people who have perfectly chiselled jaw lines have them because of years of sticking their head out - i.e. forward head posture!

Now when you convert this over to the OP's situation this means that instead of ones head being off the bed (in the case of forward head posture people) the head is resting on the bed giving extra stabilisation, thus making it easire to eat/drink!

along we this obvious advantage, people with forward head posture also suffer from many ailments including headaches, so the next time some hero accuses you of having a fat neck/chin you can inform them that this is a result of your superior body mechanics!
