The site is up for the new budget EBMM guitars and basses:

Despite the confusing name since there already is an EBMM bass called the Sterling these seem decent enough. Gotta say I like the look of the AX40

How come that's a six sting but there appears to be seven machine heads?!!!!!!!!

Edit: never mind, I didn't see the guitar behind it.

It'll be interesting to see what kind of price these come in at, given that EBMM prices have gone through the floor, especially second hand. You can pick up a Stingray for about €700 if you know what you're doing. There's even a 5 string Stingray for a grand on adverts, which is even a little on the heavy side, but considering used ones were changing hands for over €1500 in this country a year ago, they're going to need to price this range pretty competitively.

They are being priced at around $699 in the States. Thats about €555. So you are probably looking at around €699 after the Ireland dodgy tax is applied....

Ouch. I'd go second hand and get a "real" one, for want of a better term.

Definately, with a bit of patience you would pick up a Stingray in good nick for between €700-€850.

I would imagine that the new Sterlings would be a good second hand purchase in 12-18 months time.
