Eboue useful me hole. He's about as useful as a cock flavoured lollipop.

Sell him, Song and Silvestre in the summer and buy a defensive player who can, you know, defend.

I had completely forgotten we had Silvestre at all!! I'm assuming he's injured eh?

    This is from Arsenal.com
    January

Mikael only managed 30 minutes of January action thanks to a thigh injury picked up in the month’s opening game against Plymouth in the FA Cup. On Thursday, January 29, Arsène Wenger gave an update on the defender’s recovery. “Silvestre has had a little set-back so he will be out for two or three weeks more,” he said.

Now my maths might be a little rusty but its a little longer than 2-3 weeks at this stage.

Meh, remember when Sagna and Toure were injured?
That happens again and we'll need Eboue.
Even if Sagna is injured we'll need Eboue, Toure isn't a great right back

Looks like we will have Walcott, Eduardo available for the match at Burnley. Will be very good to have them back, should hopefully add more urgency to the attack and hopefully a little more directness!

Thats a fair point and I take it on board but my biggest problem with Eboue is that he is being consistently used as cover for midfield ahead of Ramsey/Vela and even Diaby sometimes and he wastes alot of possesion, makes bad decisions, can't shoot in those areas. So my opinion of him is he is useful in the squad as cover for RB ONLY we have other options for midfield which should be used imo. So in that sense I think getting rid of Eboue would stop him being played in midfield and frustrating a large portion of Arsenal fans when he gets on or near the ball in advanced positions.

Yeah it frustrates me too when he plays midfield.
He should be relegated to playing RB only

Glad people are finally waking up and smelling the Kenco about him. It only took me 7 months to convince ye...

Apologies, master of all footballing knowledge.

Drunken angry ranting aside, I still rate Song as a player but he isn't one who suits our system. He's a squad player and we've got enough squad players in the positions he can be used in so I wouldn't mind if we cashed in on him and pooled the funds to bring in a top quality first teamer.

Eduardo is our captain today!
    Walcott makes the bench.

    Team:
    Lukasz Fabianski
    Bacary Sagna
    Johan Djourou
    William Gallas
    Kieran Gibbs
    Emmanuel Eboue
    Alex Song
    Abou Diaby
    Carlos Vela
    Andrey Arshavin
    Eduardo (c)

    Subs:
    Manuel Almunia
    Robin Van Persie
    Theo Walcott
    Aaron Ramsey
    Gael Clichy
    Nicklas Bendtner
    Amaury Bischoff

It will be interesting to see how they line out. Looks like Vela on the left wing and Arshavin in the hole behind Eduardo. Or maybe Arshavin and Vela will swap at some point. Plenty of attacking options anyhow.
Glad to see Gibbs start at LB, I see a big future for him.

I'd say your right about Vela on the left and Arshavin in the hole. Have to say I'd rather see Arshavin on the left and Vela up front alongside Eduardo though.

I see a big futur for Gibbs too, not sure if it's at Arsenal though if we retain the services of Clichy and Traore..

Also very suprised that Eduardo is captain.
Looking at that team surely it should be Sagna?

Id say Traore will leave now that he's had a big taste of 1st team football. Not to mention knowing that Clichy is pretty mouh untouchable at LB, barring a heavy injury. Also the way Gibbs has slipped into Traore's slot with ease. Unless he's happy to contend with Gibbs for second choice (forget about Silvestre) and or/backup on the left wing I cant see him staying at Arsenal.

Ah, Wenger doesn't really care who is captain. i think its a confidence booster thing. How many captains have we had this season, 8? 9?

    Almunia
    Fabianski
    Gallas
    Toure
    Silvestre
    Clichy
    Fabregas
    Van Persie
    Eduardo

    Missing anyone?
